Strong turnout at BIBD charity event

Five hundred participants from Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) yesterday participated in a charity walkathon held in the vicinity of Yayasan Sultan Haji Haasanal Bolkiah School.
Among those present were Minister of Development cum BIBD chairman cum guest of honour Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdullah bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, the board of directors, members of the Syariah Advisory Body, as well as personnel of BIBD and its group of companies.
The charity event aimed to raise money for the Palestinian Humanitarian Fund, the National Fund for Flood and Landslide Victims, as well as various charitable bodies in the country. Donation boxes allowed participants to make their contributions.
The day also saw an awareness talk on BIBD Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which was delivered by Zulhazzransa bin Haji Emran, the Head of Media & Communication Committee.
The talk aimed at integrating CSR into the heart of BIBD's values, culture, operations and business decisions at all levels of the organisation.
