I've done a small scale survey recently about ownership of camera in Brunei. And here are my findings:-
- 64% take photography for personal usage, 30% as a hobby, 4% for working purpose while 2% for other purpose.
- 36% own one camera, 36% own two, 20% own three and 8% own more than three.
- 47% use digital camera/hybrid, 23% use DSLR, 23% use mobile phone and 7% use film/Polaroid. (equipment/system used to take photos)
- 31% use Sony, 26% use Canon, 18% use Nikon, 6% use Olympus and 19% use other brand.
- 72% state Overall Image Quality as the most important features in a camera and Auto-focus/Performance/Speed comes second with 12%.
- 34% state Viewfinder as the least important features in a camera and Continuous Speed comes second with 32%.
Anyway, due to the size of the sample, the results should not be regarded as an indicator of the opinions of the general populations. Thank You.
