The strange phenomenon (circled) in the midnight sky. - JASON LEONG
Closeup view of the unidentified object over Jerudong on New Year's Day.
As hundreds of people gazed upon the skies above The Empire Hotel & Country Club after the clock struck midnight, New Year's Day, Borneo Bulletin photojournalist Jason Leong captured this amazing shot of what appears to be an unidentified flying object as the fireworks brightened up the dark skies.
This image was actually one of the many shots captured using a "cable release" connected to a Canon EOS 5D digital SLR camera equipped with a Canon 70-200MM F2.8 IS (L) lens.
The digital SLR camera was put onto a Manfrotto tripod stand. The photo was taken at around 12.18am at Tungku Beach.

Jason, just a quick question, did u switch the IS on or off?
Looks like a plane to me... note the 3 pair of dots, and the 3 reddish dot on the white line... I can recreate this tonite... if the rain subsides...
very descriptive on the equipment... but why not mention the ISO, Exposure time etc?
