THE Canon flagship model EOS 1-DX and the much anticipated EOS 5D Mark III by Interhouse Company were finally unveiled together at the opening ceremony of the first ever Camera and Travel 'Photography' Fair in Brunei at the ground floor of The Mall in Gadong yesterday.
Guests of honour to the event, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) Hjh Hasnah Ibrahim with the Japanese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam HE Noriki Hirose were invited to unveil both new Canon products to enthusiastic crowds and local shutterbugs.
In his speech, the Deputy Managing Director of Interhouse Company, Vincent Goh said that the new release is a special occasion as it coincides with Canon's 75th year anniversary.
"This is a great milestone as Canon is also a market leader in DSLR cameras since its first camera was invented in 1937. Today we are proud to launch the flagship model EOS 1-DX, which provides up to 14 FPS, an ISO reading of up to 204,800 and powered by two of Canon's new DIGIT 5+ processors. While the EOS 5D Mark III has a 22.3MP CMOS sensor, 6 FPS and an ISO reading of up to 102,400, to name a few improved features," said the Deputy managing director.
Vincent then invited both guests of honour to have a look around the booth and to try out the new camera models.
Other Canon products and models were also displayed for the public to look at and Interhouse staff were on duty to answer any questions asked by local shutterbugs about the new models.
