First Photo From Deathly Hallows: Part I

USA Today has published this first photo from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I along with quotes from Rupert Grint, producer David Heyman and director David Yates.

The trio says that the first part is more grounded in reality than the previous "Harry Potter" movies.

"It's going to feel very real," Yates said. "We're going for a vérité approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they're like these three refugees on the run. They're out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don't have a home to go to. We're kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it."

In related news, Video Business also talked to Yates, who confirmed that Daniel Radcliffe will appear naked at one point during the last two movies.

In one scene, "a horcrux [carrying a piece of Voldemort's soul] defends itself by producing nightmarish visions, and one shows Hermione and Harry embracing and kissing," explained Yates. "It's something intriguing and sensual for Rupert to react to, and Dan will be bare for that."

"Part I" will hit theaters on November 19, 2010 followed by "Part II" on July 15, 2011.

Harry Potter Stuntman Seriously Injured

UK's The Daily Mirror reports that Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double suffered a serious injury in a set explosion yesterday for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I.

The 25-year-old was rehearsing a flying sequence using a harness when he was sent plummeting by the blast, which was part of the stunt. He was conscious after smashing to the ground but told horrified colleagues: "I can't feel my legs."

"He told crew members who went to help him he couldn’t feel anything from the waist down. Everyone is just hoping he makes a good recovery. It has come as a terrible shock," said a source.

Paramedics were called to Leavesden Studios and the stuntman was taken to hospital amid fears he may have been paralysed.

A spokesman for the studio said: "We can confirm a member of the Harry Potter production was injured in an accident. We are awaiting further news. Out of respect for the family we are unable to comment further."

Test Shoots Start for Deathly Hallows

"Harry Potter" franchise star Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) posted the following message on her official website on Monday, January 19th:

On Monday I go in for test shoots for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (part 1). I am quite excited to be back actually. I don't think I have seen Dan since the summer since he left for NY and Rupert since Autumn. I think I have a couple of costume fittings and a hair appointment to make my hair a bit browner. Not sure whether we have a couple rehearsals as well.

Excited to see if they have cast anyone yet...

Warner Bros. Pictures has scheduled a November 19, 2010 release for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, followed by a May 2011 release of Part II.
