Hobbyists gather to showcase collections at Learning Ladders charity event

FOLLOWING the Lego display by the Brunei Usergroup Lego and Technic (BULAT) at the ‘Toyland Adventure’ family-oriented event, and also the Learning Ladders charity event, held on the first floor of the Mabohai Shopping Complex on January 26, two other groups of hobbyists, the Brunei Plamo Group and Brunei One Sixth Scale, also made an appearance yesterday, to showcase their collections to the public.

On display were a vast number of customised Gundams and other robots plastic models, as well as one-sixth scale action figures, which reflect actual resemblance of its real-life counterparts. One of the main highlights that drew the crowds’ attention was the recreation of the whole costume display bases of Robert Downey Jr’s version of Iron Man in one-sixth scale models.

To further flare up the already exciting event, the Brunei Cosplayers Group also took part and entertained the crowds with their colourful costumes and acts. To keep up with the ‘Toyland’ theme, the cosplayers donned costumes of fantasy characters from animes, toys and games, such as Luffy from One Piece, Mario, and many others.
