James Cameron to direct Black Eyed Peas 3D movie
Avatar director James Cameron will make a 3D tour documentary with Black Eyed Peas, according to will.i.am.
The singer says the film will be shot in South America, and is scheduled for release in 2011.
Speaking to Vibe magazine he said: "We have the biggest director, because we are the biggest group on the planet.
"People will be able to see us in the theatre with the 3D glasses and everything."
Further details of the documentary remain under wraps but will.i.am said that along with footage of the band playing live, the film will have a "dope" storyline, devised by Cameron.
Currently midway through their The E.N.D world tour, the foursome have shows scheduled in Europe, Canada and north America.
Last month Black Eyed Peas reached the digital landmark of being the first artists to sell a million downloaded singles in the UK with their track I Gotta Feeling.
As for James Cameron, Avatar is the fastest film ever to reach $1 billion (£625.6 million) in ticket sales following its release in December 2009.

Canon releases firmware updates for EOS 1D Mark IV and EOS 550D
Canon has released firmware updates for its EOS 1D Mark IV and EOS 550D digital SLRs. Firmware v1.0.8 for both cameras fixes a bug in the movie mode. The update for the EOS 1D Mark IV also corrects misspellings in the French and Spanish language menus. The latest versions are available for immediate download from Canon's website.

AV Electronics Re-Opening Ceremony
New revamped look for AV Electronics
AV Electronics Sdn Bhd held its official re-opening with a fresh new revamped look yesterday afternoon in Kiulap. The store now offers a wide selection of accessories, better customer service and a new interior design.
To celebrate the re-launch, AV Electronics had partnered exclusively with BIBD for a 15 per cent special discount on Apple iPad and a 10 per cent off on all other products exclusively for BIBD cardholders or members throughout the day.
As a result, a large crowd turned up for the re-launch and a few customers queued as early as 10am to purchase the Apple iPad as well as other accessories.
Another campaign was the 'Woohoo' activity where over 100 enthusiastic BIBD cardholders queued up and took part to stand a chance to win goodies from AV Electronics.
Customers who spend more than $1,000 on a single receipt will also be eligible to win an Apple iMac 21.5. The promotion runs until July 11 and the final draw will be held on July 12.
AV Electronics is the sole authorised Apple Premium Reseller and Apple Authorised Gold Service Provider in Brunei. In an interview, Haji Yusoff Soffian Haji Mohd Freddie, the Marketing Manager, said that the campaign is aimed at creating a sense of excitement among its customers.
"The Apple market is still growing here. As Apple's sole partner, it is our responsibility to develop the market and at the same time educate the customers on the Apple products, how it is fully compatible and the misconceptions people always had about it," he said.
