Veteran Actor's Body Found
The body of popular veteran actor Hj Rais bin Banih, also known as Liau Badar, was found yesterday at Batu Panjang, Kolam Besar in Jerudong. The Marine Police found the body at around 6.15pm close to where his boat was found last Sunday.
The 74-year-old, who went out fishing, was reported missing Sunday when his boat and fishing net were found at the beach.
A massive search ensued involving many agencies. Even a helicopter was pressed into service to conduct an aerial search.
The body was brought onshore for a forensic examination before being transported to RIPAS Hospital where doctors confirmed that the senior citizen passed away due to drowning.
Liau Badar's body was later taken to his home in preparation for his burial.

Two Year Old Injured In Hit And Run Accident
A hari raya outing turned tragic for a family two days ago when their two-year-old son got trapped underneath a moving car in what was an alleged "hit and run" case.
The child was out shopping with his grandmother, mother and aunts in preparation for the upcoming festivities when the incident took place in the vicinity of a Serusop shopping area.
The family revealed their harrowing experience to the Bulletin at RIPAS Hospital where the toddler is currently being treated for injuries to his face. He also received six stitches to the back of his head.
"We didn't realise that he had run out of the shop," his grandmother said. "We usually ensure that either one of us would keep an eye on him."
What was most troubling for the family, she said, was that the person who had allegedly knocked him down, believed to be a woman, did not stop to offer any kind of assistance, but was only heard saying 'it's not my fault'.
The experience would not have been so traumatic had the person responsible accompanied them to the hospital to ensure that the child was out of danger, she said.
When the family realised the child was missing, a frantic search inside and outside the store ensued. Soon they heard a commotion in the parking area and realised that the boy was pinned under a car.
The family saw a man pulling the child from underneath the car. The boy's aunt saw him crying and to her horror saw the boy's clothes were soaked in blood that was oozing from the back of his head.
The grandmother initially did not want to believe that it was her grandson who was in danger as she said to herself "This is not happening. This could not be happening", whilst desperately holding on to the mother of the child who was on the verge of passing out.
The family was told that a stranger stopped the driver of the car, which was when she was heard saying she was not responsible for what had happened. Amidst all the commotion, she apparently drove off.
The boy drifting in and out of consciousness was rushed to the hospital.
"God forbid if anything worse had happened to him," the grandmother said as she held back her tears.
The family is asking for the stranger (who helped pull the boy from underneath the car) to come forward as they would like to extend their gratitude for his life-saving act.
They are also pleading with witnesses to come forward with any information on the vehicle to ensure that justice is served.
A police report was lodged at the Berakas Police Station where officers confirmed that an incident did take place involving a two-year-old boy. The case is still under investigation.
The Royal Brunei Police Force, meanwhile, reminded parents to keep a watchful eye on their young children in public places.

Gran Turismo 5 Will Ask For 10 GB Of PS3 Memory
Gran Turismo 5 will be one of the most technologically sophisticated racing games in the history of the industry, but that sophistication won't come without a price.When users finally open the case of GT5 in November, the first thing they'll notice is the game asking for a 10 GB install to the hard drive. Though, the install is not required, but the installation will make the game run a whole lot "smoother".
The game save file will tick in at 256 MB, which is still kind of large for a save file but shouldn't be any issue for PS3 users.
In addition to brilliantly rendered cars and a dizzying number of race tracks, Gran Turismo 5 will potentially become the first full disc-based PS3 game that supports 3D resolution. With all that power, the install file size isn't outrageous but it is certainly a much bigger chunk than anyone expected.
Gran Turismo 5 will launch in the US on November 2.

Angelina Jolie launches Pakistan flood appeal
Actress and UN ambassador Angelina Jolie has released a video asking for help on behalf of people affected by the floods in Pakistan.
Ms Jolie said: "This is not just a humanitarian crisis. It is an economic and social catastrophe.
"The UN is on the ground. The more support we can give the greater number of tents, food, clean water and medicine will get to the people in need."
The appeal comes after thousands of people streamed back to the historic southern city of after new levees were hastily built from clay and stone to hold back flood waters.
But thousands who fled the waters that inundated neighbouring towns complained about the shortage of food and water as they camped in a vast Muslim graveyard on a hill near Thatta city.
The floods began over a month ago in the north west after extremely heavy monsoon rains and surged south along the Indus River.
