Canon Press Event on August 26

Two days after Sony's invitation, Canon will be having their own press event. People have been expecting the EOS 1Ds Mark IV & EOS 60D to come out soon, but recent leak suggest that this event might be for the EOS 60D only. But let just wait and see, that's another 10 days to go, so start counting... ^_^

Sony invitation for NDA event on August 24

Electronista have posted a Sony invitation for an August 24 event in Canada, with non-disclosure agreement required, that will be showing "never before seen Sony DSLR products" (notice the plural, which could mean cameras, lenses, etc) along with "soon to be released" models. Since this is an NDA event, it probably means that the actual product announcement for the rest of us will be coming at a later date (which could be hours, days, weeks, months).
