Team Brunei beat M'sia's Nabil and Co

CHEERED on by more than 2,500 fans Brunei beat Malaysia 7-5 in a friendly futsal match between Bruneian and Malaysian artistes at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas yesterday.

The Brunei team were represented by Adi from A Band Once, Alilah, Jai Beracun, Patchi and the DJ trio of Daffy, Diddy and Zamri.

Danny Xfactor, Fiz Fairus, Kamal Adli, Angah Raja Lawak, Johan Raja Lawak, Nabil Raja Lawak and Zizan Raja Lawak, meanwhile, laced up for Malaysia.

The match, which kicked off at 4.30pm, marked the first time entertainers from the two countries went up against each other.

Earlier, Manchester United Supporters Club beat 'arch-rivals', the Liverpool Supporters Club Brunei, 2-1 in an intense curtain-raiser.

Organised by Brunei's Ryan Fayyad Event Management, a portion of the proceeds from the event will go towards Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Cacat (Kaca).
