BIBD to feature Home Financing at Halal Products Expo

Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD) will be participating in this year's 5th International Halal Products Expo which will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) from today until June 6.

BIBD will be featuring, back-by-popular-demand, its repackaged Home Financing promotion. This competitive home financing package is targeted at those who dream of owning a brand new home or a second home.

The BIBD Home Financing package comes with a competitive financing rate which includes benefits such as start-up savings on legal fee, valuation fee and Mortgage Redemption Takaful Assurance (MRTA).

Also available at the BIBD's booth during the expo is BIBD's Credit Card Care Programme. With less than a month left until the programme offer ends, the public who are still searching to achieve their financial comfort can visit BIBD's booth for more information or to apply.

This credit card consolidation facility will systematically reduce the customer's existing credit card debt to zero over a pre-agreed term. This means that through this programme, customers will be able to settle their various outstanding credit card obligations through "1 Solution".

On top of this, qualifying customers of this facility who assign their salary with BIBD are eligible for a BIBD credit card with a credit limit based on the guidelines issued by the Financial Institution Division at the Ministry of Finance.

During the expo, public can also visit BIBD's booth to participate in the latest joint-promotion with Multitrons Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Sony products in the country, on the BIBD Cards Deals exclusively for its Cardholders.

BIBD Cardholders can stand to win fabulous prizes by simply charging their purchases with their BIBD Mastercard in the country or overseas and also via their ATM/Debit Card at participating local merchants.

Total Makeover Contest

Dk Saadatul bags Total Makeover grand prize

The grand prize for the Total Makeover Contest organised by B-Mobile Communications Sdn Bhd together with its Loyalty Club merchants: Laneige and DESEO Living was bagged by Dayangku Saadatul Hana.

On hand to present the prize was Hajah Nurul Haniah Hj Jaafar, Senior Manager of B-Mobile in a ceremony held at the Mall, Gadong.

According to organisers, "The responses are overwhelming; contestants come from Brunei-Muara, Tutong and Belait Districts. Eight contestants were short-listed at the finals of the contest.

"Business etiquette training class has been conducted by Laneige to enhance the eight contestants' communication skills, manner, deportment, and body language, including how to present themselves during job interview, business presentation, and interaction in social life. There's also a detailed skin evaluation and overall self presentation for all contestants to understand how to maintain their appearance."

The Total Makeover Contest was aimed at emphasising the importance of personal enhancement in terms of manner and attitude while individual faces different environment everyday including a business environment, social life, family and friends circle.

The contest encourages individuals to nominate their loved one to have a professional makeover opportunity offer by Laneige and Deseo Living. There are training course provided for all contestants enabling them to enhance their personality and etiquette presentation from inside out in a complete and stylish way. Hence, there were a nominator and a contestant in the contest.

DESEO Living had a briefing with the contestants on what is the most suitable outfit for their body shapes, skin tone as well as dressing up for different occasions. DESEO also highlighted that everyone has their own unique style so no matter what style you have, it is most important to carry out an outfit with confidence. DESEO encourages everyone to "live with elegance and wear with confidence" (DESEO's slogan).

The finale of contest was carried out at The Mall yesterday. The three judges were Ms Kelly Ngo (Revenue Manager of B-Mobile), Pat Lee (Marketing Manager of Laneige) and Denise Chai (Manager of DESEO).

The judging criteria were based on the overall improvement of each contestant and were categorised into four main sections: Face, Body Language, Business Etiquette, and Outfit.

Pat Lee of Laneige presented the best nominator prize to Dayang Jainap Hashim. Denise Chai presented the consolation prizes to the rest of the contestants. A total amount of over $1,700 worth of prizes sponsored by Laneige plus Deseo Living vouchers were given out at the prize presentation ceremony.
